Position: Restoration Technician – Mitigation
Location: Little Rock, AR
Compensation: $53,800.00 – $65,780.00 per year
Job Description
As a Restoration Technician – Mitigation, you will respond to urgent calls, assess damages, stop ongoing issues, and begin immediate mitigation efforts. Your goal is to help return clients’ homes or businesses to a safe and functional state as quickly as possible. This includes:
- Water Mitigation: Removing standing water, lifting carpets from flooded areas, and cutting drywall to prevent mold growth (Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality guidelines).
- Flooring Removal: Taking out damaged flooring to prepare for repairs, following local codes set by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board.
- Furniture Relocation: Moving and protecting furniture to limit damage and create a safe working area.
- Equipment Setup: Installing dehumidifiers, air movers, and other drying equipment sourced from local suppliers
- Demolition & Cleanup: Completing demolition tasks, removing debris, and ensuring compliance with local building and development standards (City of Little Rock Building & Development).
- Moisture Measurements: Using specialized tools to measure moisture and prevent secondary damage.
- Documentation: Recording job details in industry-specific software and capturing photographs for reference.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute water mitigation and demolition tasks promptly and safely.
- Set up and break down restoration equipment.
- Maintain a clean job site free of debris.
- Accurately measure and record moisture levels.
- Use restoration software to log project details and progress.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
Schedule
- Typical Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Overtime: May include nights, weekends, and some holidays
- On-Call: Required
- Weekend Availability: Yes

Requirements
- Communication: Clear verbal and written skills.
- Driver’s License: Valid with a clean record (Required).
- Plumbing Knowledge: Helpful but not mandatory.
- Background Checks: Willingness to undergo criminal and motor vehicle history checks.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Ability: Lift up to 60 lbs and work in varied conditions, including outdoors and in humid or wet environments.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Experience: Preferred experience in restoration and water mitigation.
